Co-Curricular Activities Programme

Co-curricular activities (CCAs) offer pupils a wide range of activities that we sometimes refer to as the ‘extra curriculum’ which are there to offer more wide ranging experiences for the children in our care. These may range from educational trips, visitors coming into school to talk with our pupils, musicals or other performances, sports activities or such.

Part of our CCA activities are School Activities which offer regular choices to pupils that allow them to extend and challenge their own learning and development, whilst also creating opportunities to nurture talent and foster excellence in fields beyond those that are encountered in the exam hall. These activities take place at the end of the school day on three days of the week and is central to the educational philosophy at Wellington College International Hangzhou.

The CCA programme will be enhanced by the Wellington Academy, which operates a wide variety of programmes in Sports, Performing Arts and Languages, coupled with a wide range of other opportunities. The Wellington Academy allows pupils to access programmes overseen and led by world class coaches and teachers. The Academy team is led by former Premier League and England football player, Carlton Palmer, and supported by former professional artists from the stage and screen in London, New York and beyond, as well as international class sports coaches in tennis and swimming.
